BackPack Pals of Person County
BackPack Pals is a volunteer group that provides weekend foods for at risk students during the school year. The program began in 2012 with 30 students. This past year 315 students from 10 Person County Schools participated, ranging from pre-K to middle school. The BackPack Pals program is anonymous and students are selected by the schools.

BackPack Pals packers are needed. We pack on Tuesdays at our Beulah Baptist Association warehouse location. You can volunteer as individuals or as a group. Email for more information.
Coordinator Partner Needed
We are currently seeking someone to share the responsibilities of organizing and running the program.
The previous partner relocated out of the county, creating an open regular volunteer position. Duties will take approximately 10 hours a week and include: ordering and shopping for food, monitoring inventories of food stock, communicating with volunteers and schools to coordinate packing and delivery to schools, participating in packing, keeping records and reports, attending board meetings, and participating in fund raising efforts. Desired qualifications include basic computer skills, excellent communication skills, and social media posting ability. Email for more information.
