The Christian Help Center (CHC) of Person County is a  501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Person County that serves its residents in need with a daily soup kitchen, food pantry, clothes closet, and emergency funds for utilities and medical copays.

We want to continue serving those in need in Person County while expanding self-sufficiency programs and referral and counceling services. We want to build relationships between community members, share knowledge, and empower those in poverty.

    OUR MISSION

    About Us

The Christian Help Center (CHC) was established in 1990 to reach out to those who are unemployed, disabled, and elderly. During the past 26 years, the CHC has managed to distribute two million dollars in donations to assist families with rent, utilities, and medical copays.

The CHC is addressing the basic human needs of food, water, shelter, and healthcare for those who are in need. We are partners with the Food Bank of Centeral and Eastern North Carolina, Food Lion FEEDS, Farmer Foodshare, Harvest of Hope, Person County Habitat for Humanity, Person County United Way, and Triangle Wheels4Hope.
